Green Sky

Sam's t-ball game got cut short thanks to this ugly looking storm that came rolling through this evening. The temperature dropped a good 20 degrees, the wind picked up and there was a sinister teal green tint to the sky hiding behind the large wispy gray clouds and the heavy dark charcoal gray clouds.

The storm didn't produce nearly what I thought it would given the amazing cloud display! I totally expected to spend much of the night camped out in the basement with the kids all in makeshift sleeping bags, holding their one of the six or more flashlights we own. All the flashlights of course contain dead batteries, because in this house they are toys, not items for emergency preparedness. Thankfully, that was not the case! Power was only out for a few minutes, and no sirens sounded.

Note to self ... buy a lot of D batteries the next time you are at the store!

i am glad to know i am not the only one with flashlights that don't work due to much time spent in the closet being turned on and off by little fingers!!!
