Another Exciting Milestone Moment

It's hard to believe that this little cookie wouldn't even get on her bike to ride until near the end of last summer. She was too afraid of falling. Thanks to wonderful mild temperatures this winter, the girls have spent a lot of time out on their bikes and tonight Emily asked to have her training wheels removed, and just like that she's riding her big bike all on her own.

This weekend we're off to go purchase, a basket and horn - something Papa promised each of them once they learned to ride their bikes without training wheels.

Apparently, GR has gotten some razzing at work because he wears a ski jacket as a winter coat in a "business casual" work environment. Below is a picture of the coat he purchased to replace the ski jacket for work purposes. We'd like to hear from all you fashionistas out there, to see what you all think.

Putting aside the fact that we're talking about GR ... a guy who puts black rubber soled shoes in the dryer to dry (which he is also wearing in the picture) ... does this work? Is this a business casual coat... meaning it works with a pair of dress slacks and dress shirt - what he is wearing in the photo is what he traditionally wears to work? Would it be appropriate to wear with his charcoal gray pin stripe suit?

Don't try this at home

I woke-up this morning to the sound of something bumping and knocking around in the dryer. After baths Rebecca said that Daddy had put his black soled church shoes in the dryer. I asked Rebecca to remove Daddy's shoes from the dryer and put them on the back deck in the sun to finish drying. When I opened the dryer ... to my horror ... this is what I found!!!





For his sake he's lucky it cleans up pretty easily with a wet wipe.
