Fat Tuesday!
Taking Alex to preschool this morning the radio discussion was all about pancakes - for Fat Tuesday of course. 30 minutes of discussion of what makes the best pancake and what do you put on it, sealed the deal of what dinner would be tonight. The kids had lots of questions about what Fat Tuesday was and why people eat pancakes today, and it made for some good dinner conversation. Either way it was a great excuse to make Mom's scrumptious pancakes.

Fat Tuesday is nice, if you start Lent the next day, which is why it's important to many other Christians.
