Apparently, GR has gotten some razzing at work because he wears a ski jacket as a winter coat in a "business casual" work environment. Below is a picture of the coat he purchased to replace the ski jacket for work purposes. We'd like to hear from all you fashionistas out there, to see what you all think.
Putting aside the fact that we're talking about GR ... a guy who puts black rubber soled shoes in the dryer to dry (which he is also wearing in the picture) ... does this work? Is this a business casual coat... meaning it works with a pair of dress slacks and dress shirt - what he is wearing in the photo is what he traditionally wears to work? Would it be appropriate to wear with his charcoal gray pin stripe suit?

who is carson kressley?
i think it works as a casual jacket, but wouldnt quite work with a suit. in my opinion, suits require overcoats, in some kind of wooly fabric.
Agreed...

I agree with Suz, works well with the current outfit, but not with a suit. Besides, suits are not business casual.
what sort of material is the jacket? the picture makes it seem a fake leather. if that is the case, wear away.
GR would look great in a black wool coat. black anything. I've always thought that shoes need to match the coat color. Indiana Jones wore a brown leather jacket, be he also wore brown shoes.
GR looks great, and looks like he has lost weight.
The coat is certainly a step up from a ski jacket. Matchy-matchy doesn't really matter so much these days, especially in an office that tollerated his ski jacket for so long.
The coat works with the current outfit, not with a suit. I can't really see GR in a coat that matches a suit, because such a coat should be full length and made of wool. He would be so hot he'd just have to take it off. I'd keep this coat for every day and not wear a coat with a suit.

I vote yes for Business Casual, No for suit or sports coat. You need at least a mid thigh or calf lenth wool blended coat for a suit. The only coat like that Aaron owns is from his mission, does GR have one from those days? I mean, do long dressy coat styles change that much? If he has one he could probably still wear it.
