Friday we left for Milwaukee as soon as the girls got out of school and we loaded everyone in the van (I'd spent the previous 90 minutes or so packing the car and organizing and rearranging things in the back of the van - while Sam did the same thing in the front of the van) and made it to Des Moines around 8:30 or 9.
Sam slept with us, and the girls slept with Grandma. They'd gotten all ready for bed and were reading stories in bed when Grandma suggested the go down and investigate the vending machines for some candy to munch on. Emily thought that was a great idea, but Rebecca gave grandma a concerned - how could you even suggest a thing like that - look and said,
"Grandma we can't, we've already brushed our teeth!"
