Barb and Stu stayed with us this last night.  They are on their way to San Francisco for Stu's 4 year residency.   So exciting and yet a little sad to see go so far from home.  Closing one chapter and begin to open a new chapter so many miles away.

Stuart is a huge board game fan and the kids really enjoy playing any and every game they can with him.  Tonight it was Monopoly.  It was a great game, and in true Stuart fashion he completely wiped everyone out!  At one point in the game, fairly early on, I hear Stuart explain to Sam ...

"If you want a game of revenge, play SORRY. This is a game of business."

Stuart made a fabulous shake as our after "dinner" treat ... 1/3 a box of cheap vanilla ice cream, 2 round table spoons of Quick, and a big scoop of good quality natural peanut butter.  Whirl it up in a blender with some milk and YUM!!  So scrumptious!

The kids also showed off their hula hoop skills last night.  Last summer Alex taught himself how to hula hoop after a week with my parents.  It is rather amazing how long the kid can keep a hula hoop going.  Anna is persistent in trying to learn and is starting to catch on, which you can sort of see in this video of the kids hula hooping from last night. The blue hula hoop is one Sam made last summer at Cub Scout Day Camp.
