A Hat Trick

Soccer season is over, and t-ball/softball will quickly follow. The kids all did really well this season and really enjoyed their coaches and teams. As Emily and Rebecca get older, their fields expand, the girls start understanding their positions more, the score is no longer inflated, and at times, their games are very exciting to watch. Emily ended her season with another exciting game that included her very own hat trick! ... that's right three goals! Add a couple of assists to that and we had one very happy girl.

At the end of her game GR told her he'd purchase her a hat since she had a hat trick ... I suggested possibly getting a headband instead, we'll see what she picks.

And we did celebrate the end of the season with a late afternoon trip to Ben and Jerry's.

Way to go! It's so exciting to see the kids learn so much from these experiences.

Not an insignificant investment in time to be at all the games and practices. I'm glad you see it paying off.
