Friends, Peter and Michelle invited us over to their home to decorate heart cookies for Valentine's Day. It made for a really fun FHE. It was cute watching each of the children decorate their cookies, as you can imagine, each one had a slightly different approach. We had a great time and the cookies were oh so yummy!

I heard a woman on NPR's "This I Believe" series tell how she and her family--she's a single mom raising four children while becoming a medical doctor--adopted a tradition of 'Sweet Fridays'. They baked cakes, made cookies, bought sweets, and then invited friends and neighbors over on Friday evenings to share and enjoy the desserts. What a lovely idea. Perhaps Peter and Michelle related to her.
