I sent out an email to family and friends asking for their support, and called Mom to tell her to bring any labels she'd been saving (they came up for the weekend). She came with a flat of cans she'd brought from her food storage. Saturday afternoon, she and Emily pulled off the labels marked each can with the contents so she could take the labels in to school.
She put all the labels in her totebag inside a ziplock bag so she wouldn't forget them.
This morning when she was jumping up and down, all excited for Trash Day at school, I had to ask for an explanation. Turns out she was excited to take her labels (trash) to school. They have a large plastic 'soup can bank' that sits on the floor outside the directors office. When kids bring labels, or other education points, they get to drop them in the soup can. She was very excited to do that.
Here's more information about Campbell's Labels for Education program as well as a list of eligible products.
