Kansas Cowpokes

Hello Everyone!

This is a follow up to my earlier email where I told you about Rebecca’s preschool chapel program “The Good Samaritan told Kansas style.” Friday they continued their Kansas week by celebrating Kansas’s birthday. All the kids were encouraged to dress up as cowboys or pioneers. Most dressed as cowboys/cowgirls. Emily’s class handed out different colored bandanas for the kids to wear. They were so excited to go to preschool Friday with their wagon, stick ponies and bandanas. I got these pictures of the kids before we loaded up the car.

It’s been fun to hear Rebecca and Emily going through the house singing songs about all different state wildlife they have learned about – sunflowers, meadowlark, buffalo, etc. During the state birthday party, they had a campfire circle in fellowship hall and did circle dances and singing around a campfire and ate yummy camp fire feast of hot dogs, apple sauce, cheese and cookies

Enjoy the weekend!
